Mynderse-Romulus Prevails Against Gananda

- Mynderse-Romulus defeated Gananda 12-8 in a key FL-D1 league game on Wednesday evening. Mynderse-Romulus, now holding a record of 2-1, showcased balanced scoring throughout the match, led by Griffin Hilimire with six goals and one assist, and Jack Brady contributing three goals and four assists. Other contributors included Eathyn Fasciana, Owen Levis, and Jerimiah Fils, who each added to the scoreboard. Gananda, with a 2-3 record, was driven by Brody Daciw, who tallied five goals and one assist, supported by teammates Braeden Caviness, Mason Groh, and Jase Smith with one goal each.

Mynderse-Romulus surged in the third quarter, scoring five goals, which helped create a cushion they maintained through the final whistle. Gananda fought back in the fourth quarter with three goals but couldn`t bridge the gap. Goaltender Nick Falso kept Gananda competitive with a 59% save rate, stopping 17 shots across 48 minutes of play. Senior Alex Galka excelled in faceoffs for Gananda, winning 18 of 24, providing ample opportunities for his team to stay in contention.
