Midlakes Starts Strong with Non-League Win

- Midlakes opened their season with a 14-7 win over Jordan Elbridge in a non-league matchup on Friday. Playing away at Jordan Elbridge, Midlakes saw several standout performances, including junior Nate Lathrop, who scored four goals and added one assist. James Sprague contributed three goals and two assists, while eighth-grader Walker Landschoot scored his first varsity goal. Goalie Stuart Quku anchored the defense with 12 saves and a 63% save rate over 48 minutes.

Jordan Elbridge, now 1-1 on the season, had a strong effort from Joseph LaFluer, who led the team with three goals. His brother, Thomas LaFluer, added two goals, while Ryan Gibbs and Jayden Castaldo each contributed one goal. Blake Sheen recorded one assist. Colton Munson excelled in faceoffs, winning 13 of 23.
