
Bloomfield-Honeoye Takes Command in Season Opener
April 1, 2025 - In a non-league lacrosse matchup at Haverling, Bloomfield-Honeoye secured a decisive 17-7 victory, marking their first win against Haverling in series history (1-6). Bloomfield-Honeoye started strong with four goals in the first quarter and closed with seven goals in the fourth. Freshman Brayden Arber led the charge with seven goals, while senior John Blair added four goals and six assists, celebrating his birthday in style. Ethan Stoddard stood tall in goal with seven saves for a 50% save rate.
Haverling struggled to gain ground but saw standout performances from Drew Spears with three goals and Warren McCormick adding two. Gavin Price contributed a goal and an assist. McLane Stermole, despite facing heavy fire, recorded eleven saves.
Game notes include first Varsity goals for Bloomfield-Honeoye`s Wyatt Hall and eighth-grader Brennan Thomas. Blair`s performance pushed him past his fiftieth career assist mark.
