Key Departures
The team bid farewell to eight seniors, including standout players like Quentin Cato and Justin Sears, who earned All-League Honorable Mention accolades. These graduates left behind their leadership and contributions which have paved the way for the rising stars to step up.
Rising Stars and Award-Winning Returners
The 2025 season will see the rise of promising players such as Michael Alley (All-League 2nd Team Midfield), Jayden Maryjanowski (All-League Honorable Mention Defense), and Demar Williams (All-League Honorable Mention Goalie). With 72% of goals and 60% of assists returning, these players are expected to make a significant impact.
New Leadership and Fresh Beginnings
Stepping in for Cam Gormel, who served from 2019 to 2024 are co-head coaches Bill Lewis and Glenn Pittman who have been with the program for a while and last year served as Mod A coaches. Both coaches are physical education teachers at Gates Chili. Coacch Pittman started coaching in 2006 and Coach Lewis in 2011.
With new coaches stepping in, the Spartans are embracing a fresh start. Both the team and the community are eager to see the strategies and vision they bring to the field. The team will rely heavily on the three returning seniors, along with nine juniors and one sophomore, to lead the charge.
Goals and Aspirations
The team is determined to improve upon last year's performance, where they lost 15 games by a margin of more than five goals. With the returning talent and fresh leadership, the focus will be on turning close games into victories and building a solid foundation for future success.
