Friday: Three Mismatched Games

- DAY IN REVIEW: FRIDAY - There were three games played today and all three were mismatches. Winners were East United-Eastridge over Batavia-Notre Dame, Brighton over Gates Chili and McQuaid Jesuit over Nichols.

EU-E at Bat-NDMCQUAID JESUIT-13 at NICHOLS-4 - The Knights had a ten-goal run at the start of the game and saw nine different players on the scorebook. Junior defenseman Noah West, senior midfielder Chris Woodard, junior attackman Ryan Woodard and junior attackman Santino Giachetti (2g-2a) each scored their first Varsity goal for McQuaid. Also scoring were for McQuaid Jesuit (4-1) were Henry Coke (1g-2a), AJ Quagrello (3g), and Vincenzo Giangreco (1g-1a). In the goal for McQuaid Jesuit were Will Gordon and Gianni Travaglini who combined for nine saves. There was no information for Nichols at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

EU-E at Bat-NDEAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-17 at BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-0 - Eagle goalie Ethan Wright recorded 3s/0ga = 100% (24 mins), and Ronald Dietz recorded 4s/0ga = 100% (24 mins) for the shutout. Seven players made the offensive book including junior midfielder Rhyzear Feliciano who recorded his first Varsity goal for EU-E. 

Leading the scoring for East United-Eastridge (4-2) were 8th grade attackman Jahyden Maiorani (4g-1a), senior attackman Jack Galipeau (4g-1a), junior midfielder Nkodia Ndongala (5g), sophomore midfielder Josh Verna (2g-1a), and junior midfielder Rhyzear Feliciano (1g). Facing off for East United-Eastridge was Ndongala with 17+/1- = 94%, and junior Xavier Mewborn with 2+/1- = 67%. EU-E at Bat-NDBRIGHTON-18 at GATES CHILI-2 - The Bruins scored the first sixteen goals before Spartan M/FO specialist Michael Alley scored the first of his two goals to break the streak in the third quarter.

Senior defenseman Owen McKenna, sophomore midfielder Quinn Sadler, and sophomore attackman Evan Lohkamp each scored their first Varsity goal. Also scoring for Brighton (3-1) were James Holbrough (6g-2a), Aksel Stanat (4g-3a), and Miles McGuire (3g-2a). Facing off for Brighton was sophomore Henry Werzinger with 13+/2- = 87%. In the goal for Brighton was junior Thomas D`Angelo with 5s/2ga = 71% (48 mins).
