B-Ville comes into this game with a record of 17-1 and with an eight-game winning streak. The only game they lost was to Victor who defeated them 9-6. Baldwinsville beat Canandaigua 6-0 and Thomas 15-6. In the last seven games they have outscored their opponents 107-40. In their last game they defeated Corning 13-2. This season they have averaged 12.4 goals per game and have allowed 7.6.

Faceoffs GiggieThe Bees have four players with over twenty points. Leading the list is junior Keegan Lynch with 38g-55a. In the Corning game he was in on six of their 13 goals (1g-5a). Although he averages five points per game, he only recorded 1a against Victor which was very unusual for him. Senior Ryan Hollenbeck has 44g-11a this season. His highest scoring game was against Syracuse (6g-1a) and he scored 1g in the Corning game. Carson Dyl is a junior who has 43g-11a thus far. He had 2g against Victor and 2g in the Corning game. Senior Trey Ordway has 58g-17a. Like Dyl he scored 2g against Victor and Corning. Faceoff specialist Jacob Czyz shows 187 wins (79%) in twelve games, and he had 15 of 17 against Corning. There is no record for his Victor game but Victor reports that Sam Ricci won 12-7 against Baldwinsville. It appears that the Bees have two goalies. Junior Nicholas Cary has 72s (62%). He made 6a (75%) against Corning and was below 50% in only four games. Senior goalie Mason Clark had 43s reported (50%), There was no report for either goalie against Victor.

RaidersFairport enters the game at 17-3 and has a ten-game winning streak. The Red Raiders have seven players with twenty or more points. Jackson Monte has 33g-20a, Kyle Gould has 32g-9a, Billy Meagher has 24g-15a, and freshman Mitchell Monte has 21g-11a.Chase Rizzo has 27h-10a, Brendan Riley has 23g-6a, and Jake Koonman has 19g-11a.

Fairport has outscored their opponents 229-110 and end up with a great deal of ball-time with faceoff specialist Joey Giggie, who has gone 237-94 (72%) this year and was the tournament MVP in Class A. Senior goalie McLean Ralston has made 130s (60%).

Both teams lost to Victor, Fairport by one goal. Fairport lost to Thomas in overtime and to Canandaigua 9-5.

Expect a good game here, Giggie will need to give the Red Raiders ball-time and their many shooters will need to get plenty of shots on cage.  Lynch Dyl and Hollenbeck will need to get past a solid Fairport defense or settle for outside shots.

Wednesday: West Genesee vs Canandaigua 5:30 PM

West Genesee vs CanandaiguaIn Class B game it is West Genesee vs Canandaigua at 5:30.

The Wildcats have a record of 13-6 as they enter this game and they have won their last three games. Two other losses came at the hands of Baldwinsville (8-4 and 9-2).

CA loos ballThere are six Wildcats with over twenty points this season. Junior attackman Liam Burns has 46g-32a, including 7g-4a in the Sectional finals and 4g-1a in the Vestal game. He was in on half the goals in the 8-7 win over Penfield. Freshman attackman Charles Lockwood has 23g-13a, junior midfielder Jack Mellen has posted 23g-8a, and senior midfielder River Oudemool has 25-3a. Rounding out the shooters are senior midfielders Patrick Linton (13g-13a) and Ryan Mahoney (14g-10a). The Wildcats also have two goalies. In the cage, junior Jack Faiola is a two-year starter headed to Hobart and has 131s (60%). He recorded 6s (67%) in the championship game and 9s (64%) against Hamburg.

West Genesee beat Penfield 8-7 and the Braves beat Penfield 7-2. Baldwinsville beat CA 6-0 early in the season and the Wildcats lost to them 8-4 in April and again in May (9-2).

The Wildcats won a Section III Class A Championship in 2018 and rode it to the NYS finals where they lost to Ward Melville. They are used to winning and know how to work hard, but so do the Braves. The Braves will need McCrobie to get them ball time, and their offensive unit will need to put goals on the cage. The strong defense in front of Faiola will need to control Burns. Enthusiasm and "Hustle" will be the keys to this game.
