Tuesday - Fairport, Thomas, Newark Win By One

- DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - It was a busy day with thirteen games played today. Mixed in with a group of mismatches were three one-goal games.

WAYNE 12 - MARCUS WHITMAN 5 - After a close first half, Wayne scored six goals in the third quarter and four more in the last quarter. Sophomore middie PJ Ostrowski led the offense for Wayne with 5g while freshman goalie Logan DuVall-Swartzenberg recorded 5 saves (63%) in his three quarters in the cage. Junior midfielder Connor Gorton led the offense for the Wildcats with 1g-2a while junior goalie Blake Dunton was credited with 17s (59%).  [BOX SCORE] - - More images in the photo gallery

SpencerportPENFIELD 12 - THOMAS 13 - After only playing in five games last season, Webster Thomas goalie Owen Dalberth started his second game of the season tonight for the Titans.  The senior goalie was instrumental in the 13-12 win over Penfield this evening.....Feature story continues   [BOX SCORE] 

BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME 2 - GANANDA 16 - The Blue Panthers saw 8g from junior attackman Drew Smith and senior midfielder Brock Chasey added 3g-3a. Six others made the offensive book, Senior attackman Nicholas Grover scored both goals for the Blue Devils.   [BOX SCORE] 

BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE 6 - HAVERLING 17 - Jamie O`Neil scored 8g-1a  and Keian McRae added 3g-1a for the Rams.  There was no report from Bloomfield-Honeoye at post time.  [BOX SCORE] 

SpencerportWATERLOO 6 - BROCKPORT 9 - Five goals in the second quarter was the difference for Brockport. Freshman attackman Isaiah Markel had 3g-2a and junior midfielder Steven Miller had 3g for Brockport whose freshman goalie Danny Kucmerowdki posted 7s (54%). Waterloo saw 4g from senior middie Peter Shangraw and 1g-3a from Jordan Kraft. [BOX SCORE] 

RUSH-HENRIETTA  17 - GREECE STORM 4 - Junior Makai Hillmon led the offensive book for the Royal Comets with 3g-3a and junior faceoff specialist Mike Valent won 23/27 draws.  There was no report from Greece at post time. [BOX SCORE] 

GATES CHILI 3 - NEWARK 4 - After the Spartans had a 3-2 halftime lead, the Reds held them scoreless in the second half while scoring two of their own,Preston Steve led the Reds with 2g-1a. Both goalies had big games as Newark senior Caleb George-Cady was credited with 13s (81%) and Gates Chili senior goalie Nathan Weise was credited with 10s (71%).   [BOX SCORE] 

HF-L 3 - McQUAID 14 - Sophomore attackman Chase Perryman scored 2g-2a and junior goalie Trevor Reese made 21s (60%) for HF-L. There was no report from Aquinas at post time.   [BOX SCORE]  

SpencerportHILTON  10 - SPENCERPORT 16 - Although Spencerport scored first and never gave up the lead, most of the game was close with Hilton chasing back throughout. Sophomore attackman Anthony Rodriguez and senior attackman Justin Schnauber both led the Ranger offense with 3g-3a. Senior attackman Austin Mandarano had 5g and senior midfielder Samuel Keens had 4g-1a. Cameron Mesh won 17 of 26 faceoffs for Spencerport. Junior midfielder Aiden Cawley led the Cadets with 3g-2a and Jason Mosher recorded 20s (56%) in the nets.   [BOX SCORE] 

SCHROEDER 3 - CANANDAIGUA 7 - Senior goalie Jack Faiola made 9s (75%) while Jaxon Grant and Drew Williamee each has 2g-1a for the Braves (2-0). Nick Hauman led the Warriors with 2g.   [BOX SCORE] 

SpencerportFAIRPORT 8 - PITTSFORD 7 - Fairport held off the late advances of Pittsford in their 9-7 win over the Panthers.  Fairport, who led for much of the game, lost the lead for the first time with 4:28 remaining on the clock.  The Red Raiders had to keep up the pressure with two goals in the final 32 seconds of the contest.  Freshman midfielder Mitchell Monte finished the game with five of the teams eight goals (including both in the final seconds of the game)......Feature story continues     [BOX SCORE]  - - More images in the photo gallery

VICTOR 16 - BRIGHTON 4 - Junior faceoff specialist Sam Ricci won all 21 faceoffs, and junior goalie Brady Robinson made 8s (73%) for the Blue Devils who saw nine different players make the offensive book, Senior attackman TJ Carl has 2g for the Bruins.   [BOX SCORE]
