Pittsford Wins 7-6 in Regulation

- Pittsford and Canandaigua played a back and forth contest with neither team leading by more than two.  The Panthers won 7-6 after scoring three straight to span the third and fourth quarters.  During their scoring stretch, they held the Braves scoreless for 22 minutes.  The goal scoring was spread out for the Panthers with three players scoring two goals each (Ben DiGiovanni, Ryan Dumont and Sonny Imburgia).  Harrison Cross led in scoring with 4a on the game.

In the second and third quarters, the teams alternated goals with Pittsford leading off 1:38 into the second quarter with an unassisted goal from Imburgia.  Cam Tallman responded for Canandaigua and Ryan Dumont scored for the Panthers to set the score at 4-4 going into the half.

The penultimate Canandaigua goal was  scored with 10:45 left in the third quarter with Tyler Goode adding another unassisted goal.  The Braves held the lead until Pittsford scored again 9 minutes later with Sammy Thomolaris scoring his lone goal of the night.  In the fourth quarter,  Pittsford added another 2 goals to give them the 7-5 lead into the final minute.  Mitch Pfeiffer scored his second for the Braves with 0:43 remaining, but Canandaigua could not force overtime.  In the cage for Pittsford, Brecken Catalano finished with 11 saves, including two during man-down defense in the fourth quarter to old off a late Braves push.
