--  SPORTSFIVE REPORT: In a game that was never more than two goals apart, Thomas scored two of the last three goals to defeat Fairport 12-11. Both teams had opportunities to lead throughout the game. Thomas moves the series to 12-6 in Fairport's favor. The Titans have defeated the Red Raiders two years in a row with last season's 11-10 overtime win against them.

The score was tied six times and the lead changed three times. The Red Raiders scored first with back to back goals from TJ Hendricks and Dylan DeLorme. The Titans were held scoreless for the first 9 minutes before Travis Ford scored two goals to end the quarter and send the game tied into the second quarter (2-2).

Ford scored another goal, this time assisted by Nick Mabe, to give the Titans their first lead of the game. The Red Raiders came back quickly to tie the game with Spencer Bell scoring unassisted. The teams traded goals again before Fairport scored again to re-take the lead from Thomas. With 3:12 remaining in the half, Fairport led 5-4. Thomas finished out the quarter with Pierce Currie assisting Brad Smith to tie the game just 1:07 before halftime.

In the second half, Thomas took control of the pacing of the game. They opened the half with two more goals (scoring three in a row for the second time in the contest); Currie and Ford scored. Once again the teams traded goals before Fairport scored two in a row to tie the game at 9-9 right before the final quarter. The game was decided in the fourth quarter with Thomas scoring three and Fairport only scoring two. The Titans took their final lead with 6:06 remaining (11-10) with an unassisted goal from Smith.

Fairport, who was 3-1 four games ago, have dropped the last four to sit at 3-5. They face St. Joe's on Saturday and look to break their recent slump. The Titans, at 5-4, have won their last two contests and look to take that momentum into their match against Canandaigua next week.

--  SPORTSFIVE REPORT: Churchville-Chili scored three of the last four to secure the 16-13 win over HF-L and at 8-0 remains one of only four undefeated teams left in the section. The Saints played strong in the beginning and end of the game but, in what has become a pattern, they could not pull away from their opponents and allowed HF-L to stay in the game well into the second half. The Cougars led going into the second half before Churchville-Chili outscored them 7-3 in the second 24 minutes.

Like in their last contest against Brockport, the Saints took an early lead before allowing their opponents back into the game. Today, Churchville-Chili scored three straight in the first two minutes of the game. Dan Bonafede, Jason Tebo and Jacob Buck each scored in the first two minutes. The teams then began trading goals with Churchville-Chili leading 7-4 with 10:30 remaining in the second quarter.

HF-L scored three unanswered goals to for a 7-7 tie. Thomas Bailey, Garrett Ruff and freshman Andrew Mapstone each scored one goal. Although the Saints then added a single goal (Tebo unassisted), the Cougars added three more (six of seven straight). HF-L led 10-8 with three minutes remaining in the half. As notes above, the Saints stepped up their scoring after halftime and secured the lead going into the fourth (14-12).

A major factor in the turnaround was Bonafede who scored three of his five goals in the second half and was instrumental in possession time at the face off draw (8/12). He finished the contest 15/24 and led his team in ground balls with seven.
