--  The second quarter made all the difference in the game today between the visiting Mynderse Blue Devils and the Marcus Whitman Wildcats. Mynderse scored five goals in that second quarter to help give the Blue Devils the 10-7 win. The Blue Devils scored the first three goals of the game and led 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. Although Whitman scored first in the second, Mynderse scored the next four to give the Blue Devils a 6-1 lead before Marcus Whitman returned with two to break the streak. At halftime the score was 8-3 for Mynderse.

Both teams scored one goal in the third quarter, but the Wildcats scored the second goal and added the next two at the start of the last quarter. The ball kept going up and down the field in transition play as each team took a shot only to lose possession. The Wildcats ran out of time, while the Blue Devils kept them from shooting in the last minute and a half.

Both goalies played well in the rain and the muddy creases. Mynderse goalie Tim Trickler ended the game with fifteen saves (68%) and Wildcat goalie Merritt Bailey ended the game with ten saves (50%). The face off contest went to Mynderse (15/21 for 71%), led by Sean Anderson (6/7) and Aaron Peterman (8/13). The offensive efforts were led by Connor Kelly (3g) and Matt Hall (2g-1a) for Marcus Whitman and Mike Barbay (3g-1a), Aaron Peterman (3g), Justin Hlywa (1g-2a) and Season Anderson (1g-2a) for Mynderse.
