It was a beautiful day for lacrosse and six games were played. Most of the games were overmatches, with the closest game being Marcus Whitman over Wayne 8-4. The other winners were Livonia, Fairport, Irondequoit, Waterloo, Pal-Mac, Geneva, Spencerport, Pittsford, HF-L, Haverling, Aquinas, B-H, Canandaigua, Brighton and Thomas.

Fairport at Churchville  --  Fairport scored ten of the first eleven goals on their way to an 11-6 win over Churchville-Chili. The Saints finished with five of the last six goals in the fourth quarter against the second string from Fairport. Fairport's starting goalie Blaze Riorden finished with five saves and only one goal allowed in the first three quarters. The only goal that Riorden allowed was scored during a man-up attempt by Churchville-Chili. Nick Gray scored with an assist from Trevor Hodgins.

Fairport had seven different players score. Leading the charge was Pat VanBortle with 3g. Kyle Sterzin (2g-1a), Brian Martin (1g-2a) and Derek DeJoe (2g-1a) also contributed to the scoring for the Red Raiders. Shane Stickle and Kevin Vaughn both finished at 67% at the face off draw for Fairport. Stickle finished 12/18 and Vaughn finished 2/3. Stickle also led in ground balls with seven. Midfielder Jack Sanna finished with four ground balls for Fairport. In the cage, Pete Gropp played the final quarter and recorded two saves.

Livonia was led in scoring by Wyatt Struble with 4g-5a. Alex Chiara (4g-2a) and Derek Bishopp (3g-2a) also added points for the Bulldogs. Bishopp finished 20/21 (95%) at the face off draw. He also finished with 14 ground balls. Defenseman Sean Kidder finished with 11 ground balls for Livonia. In the cage, Ethan Jamison played 34 minutes and recorded four saves. Troy Lischer finished out the game and recorded two saves.

In the fourth quarter, the Spartans outscored the Rangers 3-1. Offensive scoring for the Rangers was led by attackman Matt Kaser (3g-4a) and midfielder Jeff Nitti (4g-2a). Spencerport looked strong at the face off draw. Midfielder Seth Miller finished 12/17 (71%). He also led his team in ground balls with 14. Midfielder Levi Basynnski finished with five for the Rangers. In the cage, Drew Preston finished with nine saves (64%).

For Gates Chili, midfielder Ralph Taliento was a part of every goal. He finished with a team leading 2g-3a. Midfielder Joe Corona finished with a team leading nine shots, only two of which were on cage. Taliento finished with eight shots, three on cage. Senior midfielder Matt Hey and junior midfielder Lukas Brassi added two goals and two assists respectively. In the cage for the Wildcats, Merritt Bailey finished with seven saves.

Wayne's strength was in their defense. Both coaches noted that the outstanding play by sophomore goalie Justin Townsend kept the game close. Townsend finished with 20 saves for the Eagles. Coach Jeff Ugine writes of his team, "Our defense is keeping us in a lot of games, but the offense is still a bit inexperienced." Two sophomores led the scoring for Wayne. Pittsford played three different players between the pipes. Kyle Lake played the first three quarters and Luke Loveys and Cahal Moulton split the fourth quarter. Lake finished with five saves, Loveys finished with two saves and Moulton finished with three saves.
