League Awards for 2011 Released

The league awards have now been released and 288 have been given to the players in Section Five so far this year. 68 Finger Lakes players received awards and 23 GRALL players received league awards. In the Monroe County League 78 players in Division I received awards, 50 players in Division II received awards and 55 players in Division III each received awards.

The All Star list is out recognizing the Monroe County League players for the 2011 season. Senior midfielders Greg Coholan (Irondequoit) and Steven Cregan (Brighton) were selected as the 2011 USLacrosse Academic All Americans. Senior midfielders James Burke (Pittsford), JT Hauck (Thomas), Andrew Hays (Fairport), and Ryan Yunker (Churchville-Chili) and junior attackman Nick Doktor (Irondequoit) were selected as USLAcrosse All Americans.

The Division I player of the Year was James Burke. The Division II Player of the Year was Ryan Yunker and the Division III Player of the Year was Steven Cregan (Brighton).

GRALL

The All Star list is out recognizing the GRALL players for the 2011 season. Senior attackman, Zach Reed from Haverling and senior Defenseman Jake Bailey from McQuaid Jesuit were selected as GRALL "Players of the Year". The GRALL coaches gave the Sportsmanship award to McQuaid Jesuit.. See the full list here.
