Tuesday: Eleven Cancellations - One Game

Eleven games were cancelled throughout the afternoon, some at noon and some at the field. Penn Yan got a whole 1:05 into their game with Baldwinsville, and was in the lead (1-0) before they had to given in to the weather. There must have been a sunny patch in Chili as Churchville-Chili beat Gates Chili 16-4.

-- After eleven teams canceled games today, the Chili teams found just the right time to get their game completed. Gates-Chili tied the score at 1-1, but the Saints scored the next five goals to finish the first quarter leading 6-1.
Churchville-Chili went on to defeat the Spartans 16-4. Churchville-Chili had 12 different players make the scorebook and 21 different players with at least one stat. Churchville-Chili won the ground ball battle 72-22. Leading the charge were defenseman Nick Bruno (13) and midfielder Nolan Jessop (11).
Both teams played two goalies between the pipes. Jack Corcoran and Wolodia Huley split for Churchville-Chili with Corcoran finishing with five saves and Huley finishing with one save. Brian Lane and Tyler Jacobson split for Gates-Chili and Lane finished with 16 saves and Jacobson finished with two saves.
Up next: Churchville-Chili (7-1) hosts Honeoye Falls-Lima (2-4) on Thursday and Gates Chili (2-7) hosts Batavia (0-6), also on Thursday.
