Titan`s Davis Bird Goes to Ithaca
January 29, 2015 - Davis Bird recently announced that he will be heading to Ithaca after his final season this spring as a goalie for the Webster Thomas Titans.
Ending the 2014 season with a fifty percent save record, he played in seventeen games for the Varsity, including a four save shutout in one half at Aquinas. Highlights from his junior year also included a seventy-eight percent day (30 mins) against Irondequoit and a sixty-nine percent day against Hilton.
In the off season Davis has played for the Sweetlax Lacrosse Club.
An NCAA Division III school in the Empire Eight conference, Ithaca draws heavily from Section Five. Included on this year`s roster are Justin Bird (Thomas), James Manilla (Fairport), Andrew Rodenhouse (Pittsford), Steve Danylyshyn (Fairport), Andrew Kristy (Fairport), Joe Perkins (R-H) and Marc Sweeney (Fairport). Head Coach, Jeff Long will be at the helm for his twenty-eighth season. He is an alumnus of Irondequoit High School and the Naval Academy.
