Mynderse Coach Alan Henry

We note, with sadness, the passing of long time Mynderse Academy coach, Al Henry, who died unexpectedly this week in his winter home in Florida. Coach Henry started the Mynderse lacrosse program and over his almost thirty year tenure amassed 266 wins.

He was Finger Lakes Coach of the year twice and was inducted into the US Lacrosse Rochester Chapter Hall of Fame in 2003. A long time chairman of the Finger Lakes League, Coach Henry was a vocal proponent of equity between the various leagues in Section Five.

His family will receive family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 at the Doran Funeral Home in Seneca Falls. A celebration of his life will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Restvale Cemetery, Seneca Falls, will be at the convenience of the family.
