- Webster Schroeder ended their league season tied for second in Monroe County Division I with a 4-2 record (9-7 overall). Seeded fourth in the Class A tournament the Warriors won their first two games (Arc-Oly and Gates Chili) and then lost to Fairport in a close 9-8 semi final game and finished as Schroeder 2009seeded.

Schroeder lost thirteen players to graduation, including four named to All League teams and three who are continuing to play in college (Mark Saltrelli at Mercyhurst, Chris Topping at Geneseo and Jake Spadoni at Alfred). Even with the huge loss in numbers, the Warrior's strength is in its current senior class as witnessed by the fact that five current seniors have made commitments to continue playing in college.

Senior attackman Cody Consul returns from last season after leading in goals, assists and points for the Warriors with 55g-21a. He was tied for sixth in goals and tied for ninth in points in Section Five. Consul (who will continue next season at Cortland) will be a key to the success of the Warriors attack. Brett Farrell, who was named to the Honorable Mention list in attack last season, will also have an important role. Farrell finished with the team's third highest production of goals and the second highest in assists with 15g-15a. In the midfield, the Warriors will look to Pete Noto and Johnny Murray. Noto has signed on to attend Rutgers next season and finished with 28 goals last season.

Defensively the Warriors return one of the stronger goalies in the Section in senior Scott Tota. Tota finished last season at 59% with 170 saves and he was a key reason for victory in a number of Schroeder's games. Tota was 28/40 (70%) in Sectional play last year and will be attending Cortland in the fall. In the close defense Schroeder returns Sean Deegan, Ryan Martin (Providence) and Mike Blood (Cortland). Blood was named to second team defense and Deegan and Martin made honorable mentions last year.

Coach Matt Petz writes, "We return a good amount of kids that were on a team that was one goal away from making it to the finals and our kids are hungry to make the next step." With thirteen mandatory league games, Coach Petz has scheduled Amherst, Hamburg and Penn Yan.
