Wednesday: Pal-Mac over Whitman

April 29, 2009 - In the single game in Section V today, Pal-Mac had a 14-2 win over Marcus Whitman.

  --  It was Palmyra-Macedon with a 14-2 win over Marcus Whitman at Pal-Mac High School tonight. The Red raiders took a 6-1 win after the first quarter and led at the half 13-2.

Wildcat Head Coach Bruce Teague was please with their second half effort, during which they held the Red Raiders to a single goal in the third quarter. "I was happy to see our team pick up the intensity in the second half. Bobby came in the game and made a couple of key saves that got our defense pumped."

Scoring for Marcus Whitman were Perry Mortensen (1g) and Jordan Hathorn (1g) for the Wildcats. Whitman goalies split the quarters with Nick Cosmano making 4s/13ga and Bobby Mason making 8s/1ga.

Scoring for Pal-Mac were Sean Nolan (2a), Edmund Williams (2g), Mike DeMar (3g-2a), Jeff Kier (3g-2a), Greg Kier (1g-2a), Mike Russell (2g-1a) and Jamie Consler (3g-1a). Goalie Tim Doyle recorded 6s/2ga (36 Mins) and Jeff Kier added 2s/0ga (12 Mins).
