Monday: Spencerport, Brockport and West Win
March 24, 2009 - There were only three games played on Monday. Spencerport was a 15-8 winner over the Lightning. Hilton won a 14-7 game over Brockport and McQuaid Jesuit lost at Corning West 12-6.
Spencerport 15 - Greece Lightning 8
-- Although holding it close for three quarters, going 3-2, 9-6, 11-7, Spencerport scored four goals in the fourth quarters on their way to a 15-8 victory over hosts Greece Lightning (Arc/Oly).
Scoring for Spencerport were Nick Fisher (1g-5a), Austin Hintz (7g) who scored four of his goals in the second half, Kyle Mark (4g-1a), Kristian Barbato (2a), Kevin Heacock (3a), Sean Demers (2g-5a) and Pat Crumb (1g). Rocky Gruttadaria 11s/8ga.
Scoring for the Lightning were Billy Slapar (2g-1a), Kendrick Heintzelman (1g-3a), Joe Malovics (1g), Brandon Wood (1g-1a), Richard Fischer (2g) and Ton Dyer (1a). Freshman goalie Sean Trost had 20s/15ga for the Lightning.

Corning West 12 - McQuaid Jesuit 6
-- Corning West (Section 4) took a 3-0 first quarter to an 8-1 half, before defeating visiting McQuaid Jesuit 12-6 in non-league action. The Vikings (5-1) have earned wins against Geneva, Haverling and HFL at the start of the season, with their only loss to Corning East.
Scoring for Corning West were Austin Rose (2g-1a), Caleb Tuttle (2g-2a) and Deiter Treusdell (2g). Nate Rucco, Kyle Clarkson, Brian Guilfoyle, Andy Cole, Braden McDonald and Paul Andrews each added one goal for the Vikings.
Scoring for McQuaid Jesuit were
Tim Caton (1g), Nick Wolak (1g-1a), Eric Wright (3g) and Bobby Stuver (1g). Freshman goalie Pat Sheridan recorded 10s/12ga for the Knights.
