March, 2009 - Marcus Whitman joins Section Five this year as one of two new teams. The Wildcats will join Finger Lakes Division II, with Bloomfield-Honeoye, Midlakes, Mynderse and Pal-Mac.

Marcus Whitman's roster will consist of 4 seniors, 17 juniors and 1 sophomore. Coach Bruce Teague notes, "the majority of this team, as well as the coaching staff has been together from modified through JV and now into Varsity." Coach Teague's father, Bruce is a long-time Section Five lacrosse official and member of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame (Rochester Chapter).

Marcus Whitman has scheduled out of league games against Greece Arc/Oly and Livonia as well as games against Finger Lakes teams, Penn Yan, Canandaigua and Geneva.

Coach Teague writes, "it has been a long road building this program, and we are looking forward to taking that final step into the Varsity ranks."
