- Bloomfield-Honeoye ended their league season fourth in Finger Lakes Division II with a 5-5 record (7-10 overall). Seeded fifth in the Class C tournament the "BHers" lost to Midlakes in first round and finished as seeded. With Newark and Waterloo moving to Division I, Bloomfield-Honeoye is the second returning team to Division II. Last season, the BHers, now the "Bombdogs" were 1-1 against each divisional opponent.

BombdogsAfter their first season, Coach Jack Beaney recognized their graduated seniors' effects, "We will miss our seniors from last year. Luke Mashtare who took face-offs for us and Max Van Orman in the goal will be missed tremendously. Chase Vorheese's leadership and steady performance on defense is an important slot I will need to fill."

However, the Bombdogs are returning their leading goals, assists and points scorer in Sean Beaney. Beaney, a junior, finished last season with 26g-26a and will look to continue his offensive presence this season. Joining Beaney on offense are junior, Luke Anderson and sophomore, Zach Hammond. Anderson (17g-4a) and Hammond (11g-6a) were the fourth and fifth scorers last season.

Defensively, the Bombdogs will look to Jay Nichols to fill the shoes of Van Orman between the pipes. Nichols was pulled up from JV at the end of last season and played in two games late in the season. Nichols will have the help of junior defenseman Zach Blain (1st team All League) in front of him. Blain will be joined by senior Jake Stevens as the only two close defense players returning from last year's roster.

With the change in league orientation and Marcus Whitman joining division II this year, the Bombdogs are in a prime position to improve on last year's record and become a threat. Coach Beaney writes, "even though we are young, we have quite a bit of experience." Out of leagues games against Canandaigua, Newark, Livonia, Penn Yan, Geneva and Waterloo will challenge them, but will make them that much stronger.
