Once again this year, SportsFive will publish, each week, rankings in each class. SportsFive will continue to publish the New York State Sportswriters poll and will provide links to the Laxpower national polls.

After a little more than one week of play there are only a few changes from last week. We have no reason to bump the top spots yet.

CLASS A
In Class A, it we feel that Canandaigua, Irondequoit and Penfield are clearly better the rest of Class A at end of week one. The next tier of teams include Fairport, Thomas, Schroeder and Rush-Henrietta who are so close that there is we simply made them honorable mentions this week.

Last week when we saw Canandaigua and Irondequoit over Schroeder, Penfield over Rush and Thomas,it was claer that the top three schools are strong, fast and ready to win. The second group schools are strong programs and they deserve to be in the mix as it's a long way to the send of the season and things player issues and team chemistry could change this at any point. This week Fairport plays both Thomas and Rush and Penfield and Schroeder play and the outcome may have an impact on next week's rankings.

CLASS B
In Class B, Geneva and Aquinas maintain in the top two spots. Geneva's overtime loss to Penn Yan shows how close the defending Class B and Class C Champions are and we are confidant that the second meeting between the two teams will be equally fun to watch. Eastridge drops out of the top three after their losses to Hilton and Churchville-Chili, however, Victor, with their wins against HFL and Canisius moves into the third position.

CLASS C
In Class C, the Mustangs continue in the top slot. Waterloo, missing some key players, suffered hard losses to Aquinas and Pal-Mac, and although they still represent a threat in Class C, we will have to wait for their roster is set to see the team that we are expected in the preseason. In the mean time, Livonia, fresh off wins against Newark and Midlakes, steps into the second spot. Rounding out the top four is Haverling who, after two winless seasons are off to a 2-0 start with wins over Mynderse and Owego.
