Monday: Aquinas, McQuaid Jesuit Win

- Two games were played today. Aquinas was the 16-3 winner over Haverling and McQuaid Jesuit, with a three goal spree won at Canisius (Section 6).
  
reddot Aquinas hosted their home GRALL contest with Haverling and was the 16-3 winner. After posting a 3-3 tie at the end of the first quarter the Little Irish held the Ram scoreless through the remainder of the game while scoring ten goals in the second quarter and three more in the third.
  
Scoring for Aquinas was senior attackmen Dave Schamndt (3g-3a), Nick Vincent (2g- 1a), Chris Roland (1g-2a), midfielder seniors, Mark Pincelli (3g), Pat King (2g-3a), sophomore midfielders Marc Brondon (2g), junior middies Kyle Wegman (1g) and Nick Berkompas (2a).
  
The defense also played well with senior defensemen Joe Edd and sophomore defender Alex Gray scoring a goal a piece for Aquinas (3-0).
  
Scoring for Haverling was senior attackman Zac Conrad (1g), junior attackman John Pruyn (1g), sophomore middie Steve Joint (1g), while adding assists were senior middie Kyle Benesh and sophomore middie David Harris. Senior goalie Jeremiah Wilder 14 saves for the Rams (0-6).
  
reddot It was McQuaid Jesuit over Canisius in a 7-5 game played in Buffalo, but it took a strong last eight minutes and five goals to do it. Each team scored one goal in the first, and Canisius outscored the Knights 3-1 in the second quarter ending the half up 4-2.
  
Canisius scored one goal late in the third to take the score to 5-2, but the Knights came alive in the last quarter scoring at 8:44 with a goal by senior attackman Mark Hanna, assisted by senior attackman Marty Farchione. At 6:17 senior midfielder Gino D'Angelo scored and unassisted goal. Junior midfielder Evan Gallina scored the next two with an assist on the second by Farchione. Sophomore attackman Mitch Ritchie scored the last goal of the game at the 2:00 mark on a feed by Hanna.
  
Scoring for the Knights was Gallina (2g), D'Angelo (1g), Farchione (1g-3a), Cardillo (1a), Hanna (2g-1a), Ritchie (1g). Senior goalie Pat Maguire made 13 saves (72%) for the Knights (3-2).
