Players of the Week - Group 3

- Player of the Week

In the fourth week of the season, we honor two Section Five juniors.

Quinn Simonson Offensive Player of the Week
Quinn Simonson

Junior attackman Quinn Simonson helped the Eagles win two big games last week, including scoring three goals in the 12-11 overtime win against HF-L. He has scored in every game this year, scoring three against Pittsford and Aquinas.

Head Coach Terry Coholan says: "Quinn has had a good year so far. He's a junior with great up side potential. He is averaging two goals per game so far, including the overtime winner against a strong HFL team on Saturday. He scored three goals in that contest. Quinn is athletic, a good dodger, comfortable taking big shots, and has given us additional scoring on our first midfield."

Joe Camp Defensive Player of the Week
Joe Camp

Junior Long Stick middie/defenseman Joe Camp  finished with two goals with a long-stick and was instrumental on the face-off as well as the Eagles beat Pal-Mac in "the Cradle for a Cure" game last Saturday.

The three year varsity player was named to the first team All Finger Lakes team last year and to the second team in his sophomore year.

Head Coach Eric Carlsen says: "Joe is a tremendous asset to our team. He is a captain and the team's defensive leader. Joe is an offensive minded LSM with the ability to be cover the opponent's best player. He is also a huge factor on the wing for face-off's and as good as they come at scooping up groundballs. We are improving defensively under Joe's leadership and his team first mentality. He will be the first to pass any individual honor thrown his way off to his teammates ability to work together."

This is the third award group for 2018. Group two honored Brett Cunningham (Gananda) and Caleb Green (Brighton). Group one honored Jack Billitier (McQuaid), Trevor Ford (Thomas), William Fell (Penfield_ and Aiden Kenyon (Canandaigua).
