Training for Officials Available for Boys and Girls

- As usual, there is a great need for lacrosse officials for both the boys and the girls scholastic programs. Training programs have been announced and both will start in January.

The training programs will allow participants to work games this season. Experience with the game is nice, but not necessary. Interest in learning is the only requirement.

BOYS PROGRAM (Press Release):

Officials NeededThe Genesee Valley Lacrosse Officials Association provides officiating services for all Section Five contests.
They are looking for interested candidates for the 2018 spring season.

A "New Officials Orientation and Training Meeting" program schedule starts January 15th, 2018 at Nazareth College.
The orientation classes will prepare anyone interested in becoming a Boy’s NYSPHSAA Certified HS level official.

GIRLS PROGRAM (Press Release):

Officials NeededThe Rochester Board of Women’s Lacrosse Officials (RBWLO) is looking to The Rochester Board of Women’s Lacrosse Officials (RBWLO) is looking to train interested men and women to officiate girls’ lacrosse games in the greater Rochester area.

Classroom sessions begin January 14th and take place on Sunday evenings at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford. Completion of the course will certify officials to work games in Section V and the Finger Lakes region for the upcoming season.
