JW1 and Sweetlax Announce Box Lacrosse

- Sweetlax Lacrosse and JW1's Joe Walters are pleased to announce a partnership with this winter's Box Lacrosse program open to all interested players. Last year, Sweetlax introduced box lacrosse to players in the Upstate area which included practices and a competition in a mid-Atlantic tournament in January. Instructors included Professional Box players Randy Staats, Cody Jamison and Brad Gillies amongst others.

Box LaxThis year's Box Lacrosse program will find a focus on the JW1's Training Methodology developed by Joe Walters years of professional experience. The program will teach players how to use the box game to improve their field game. "I've had the fortune of working with a number of noted Coaches," commented Walters, President and Founder of JW1 Lacrosse, "our methodology combines key skills and drills that players will be able to take home with them to continue to develop their game. The goal of our program is to provide all players with a unique experience".

For a number of years College Coaches in particular have stressed the importance of playing Box lacrosse. "Players will see advancement especially in their stick skills," added Walters, "like many I found my participation in Box to help tremendously in my own lacrosse development".

Over the years JW1 has offered Boot Camps clinics for players looking to improve and grow their lacrosse skills. Registration for Winter Box Lacrosse is now open to all players. There will be a practice team and tournament team offered to players. Players are encouraged to register for both to get the full program experience.
