Panara named to US Lacrosse Watchlist

March 7, 2014 - Pittsford senior defenseman Nick Panara was recently named to the the Northeast Region Top Players Watchlist by Lacrosse Magazine.

A two time Under Armour All-American , Brine National All-American and member of the sophomore Nike Upstate Rising sophomore team defenseman, Panara recorded forty-four ground balls and has seventeen takes as a junior on the Panther team, who finished last season 13-3.

The four year Pittsford Varsity starter made a verbal commitment as a sophomore and then signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Fairfield after graduation this spring. Fairfield, which will move to from the ECAC to the Colonial Athletic Association in 2015, is coached by Andy Copelan who as he enters his sixth season with the Stags. Copeland, who is a Pittsford alumnus, has a seven year NCAA Division I record of 61-46.

Lacrosse Magazine, the publication from US Lacrosse, published the watchlist in their March 2014 issue, which also contains an excellent section for parents, "7 keys to your kid's lax experience".
