Livonia Beats Eastridge

- NOTES: After trailing 3-0 after the first quarter, Livonia fought back to defeated Eastridge 9-7. The Bulldogs scored four unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter and then moved into the lead. The Lancers started off strong, but couldn`t keep up the pressure in the second half.

Mike DeSantis started off the game with the first three goals. The first was assisted by Max Wheeler (with the second and third unassisted). The Bulldogs didn`t score for 12:36. Their first goal was by Jack Simpson (assisted by Jack Pope) early in the second quarter. Six minutes later they brought the game within a single goal with an unassisted goal from Pope. The lone Lancer goal in the second quarter was scored with 0:33 remaining in the first half. During a man-up situation, DeSantis added his fourth goal with an assist from Bailey Corbett. Thirty seconds later the Bulldogs scored again as Liam Clements assisted Jake Terry with only 0:02 remaining on the clock. Eastridge still led 4-3 going into halftime.

In the third quarter the teams were evenly matched. They traded goals (and tied twice) with Livonia scoring the first goal of the half. Pope scored with an assist from Jonathan Mohnkern. Corbett (Eastridge), Rossborough (Livonia) and DeSantis (Eastridge) finished out the scoring for the third quarter. The final quarter and the game belonged to Livonia. Nick Kallio scored two goals with Terry and Simpson adding one each to secure the Livonia win.

In the cage for Livonia, John Stockslader finished with six recorded saves. Midfielder Divonte Geiger finished with 6 ground balls and led his team. Tyler Brooks and Pope both finished with four ground balls. For Eastridge, Chris Doktor played the majority of the game and finished with 12 saves. Nick Shannon played during a penalty and accrued 3 saves.
