DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - There were fourteen games played today and five were close ones. Victor defeated JD by a score of 9-8. HFL defeated Brighton by a score of 8-7. Canandaigua was a 7-5 winner over Penn Yan. Dryden was a 6-5 winner over Marcus Whitman. Spencerport was a 8-7 winner over Pittsford. Full Story |

DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were 12 games played today and a couple were close ones. Newark was a 7-6 winner over Midlakes-Red Jacket. Irondequoit defeated Pittsford by a score of 7-6. Hilton and Thomas played a close game until the last quarter when the Cadets took off. CA was a 10-6 winner over Penfield and Marcus Whitman was a 10-7 winner over Gananda. Full Story |

2023 Season Wrap Up |
There were thirty-five teams playing in Section V. Bishop Kearney scheduled seven games but elected to forgo the tournament at the end of the season. There were 893 players on the final rosters, up 13 players from 2022. Rush-Henrietta and Victor carried the largest roster with thirty-six players and Haverling, Midlakes-Red Jacket and Waterloo with the smallest with sixteen. Full Story |

Bishop Kearney scheduled twelve games but dropped out just before the tournaments at the end of the season. There were 870 players on the final rosters, down five players from 2021. Rush-Henrietta and Victor carried the largest roster with thirty-seven players and Batavia-Notre Dame had the smallest with thirteen. Full Story |

On Friday, November 10th, the Rochester Chapter of USA Lacrosse will installed the 2023 class. Honored were Liz Hogan, John Houtenbrink, Peter Milliman, Marc Riccio, Dr. Phillip Winslow, and the 2015 and 2016 Boys Victor Teams. Full Story |

On Saturday, November 5th, the Rochester Chapter of USA Lacrosse will install its 28th class. The event will take place at the Harro East Ballroom (155 N Chestnut st, Rochester, NY 14604) with a social hour beginning at 6:00 pm. |
100 Years of Scholastic Lacrosse Here |
This year, BLaxFive.NET is celebrating the start of scholastic lacrosse in 1922 when Geneva High School was the first team in the "area" to sponsor a scholastic team.
