Monday Lacrosse Dominance: Hilton, Irondequoit, Geneva

April 7, 2025 - DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - Today`s lacrosse highlights showcased dominant victories across various matchups. Hilton overwhelmed Greece Storm 15-1 with standout performances from Gianluca Auriuso and Drew Brien. HFL triumphed 15-8 over Churchville-Chili, thanks to Grady Goodberlet`s six goals. Irondequoit crushed Schroeder 12-1, led by Cooper Moore`s five goals and Sven Habitzreuther`s stellar goaltending. Rush-Henrietta excelled in a 16-4 win against East United-Eastridge, powered by Andrew Coleman and Jackson Koppers. Victor defeated Brighton 11-5 with Brody Secker and Colin Wheeler leading the charge. Geneva routed Gates Chili 19-4 behind Ryland Dunham`s six goals, while Pittsford topped Thomas 13-9 in a non-league battle, featuring Peter Roussell`s milestone faceoff achievement. Meanwhile, Fairport secured an 8-5 win over Penfield, and McQuaid Jesuit clinched a 16-11 victory over Orchard Park.  

GREECE STORM-1 at HILTON-15 - Hilton secured a commanding 15-1 victory over Greece Storm, led by standout players Gianluca Auriuso (four goals) and Drew Brien (three goals). Brendan Maxwell and Sam Guzzetta provided strong goaltending performances for Hilton, maintaining their perfect record against Greece Storm since 2018. SCHROEDER-1 at IRONDEQUOIT-12 - Irondequoit topped Schroeder 12-1 in an MC-D2 league game, led by Cooper Moore`s five goals. Senior goalie Sven Habitzreuther`s 92% save rate and Andrew Scully`s dominance in faceoffs powered Irondequoit. Schroeder`s Jonny May scored their single goal. RUSH-HENRIETTA-16 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-4 - Rush-Henrietta triumphed in a 16-4 non-league game against East United-Eastridge, powered by standout performances from Andrew Coleman (four goals, two assists) and Jackson Koppers (four goals). BRIGHTON-5 at VICTOR-11 - Victor achieved an 11-5 win over Brighton in an MC-D2 league game with contributions from Brody Secker (three goals) and Colin Wheeler (three goals). GATES CHILI-4 at GENEVA-19 - Geneva, led by Ryland Dunham with six goals and Max Heieck with five goals and four assists, defeated Gates Chili 19-4 in a non-league lacrosse game. Brent Williams shone in net with a flawless twelve-minute stint, and Alex Pesante excelled at face-offs. Gates Chili`s effort featured goals from four different players and notable goaltending by Demar Williams, who recorded twenty-two saves. PENFIELD-5 at FAIRPORT-8 - Fairport secured an 8-5 win over Penfield in an MC-D1 league game at home, with no report available from Fairport. Penfield saw contributions from scorers Joyce, Banister, Castro, Theodorakakos, and Pavone, along with strong efforts by junior goalie Mason Schembri and face-off specialist Colin Miller. Goalie Bear Wehrheim made seven saves for Pittsford. Junior Peter Roussell reached 200 career faceoff wins, securing 15 in the game.
