Irondequoit Over Pittsford and Newark Over Mid-RJ by One

- DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were 12 games played today and a couple were close ones. Newark was a 7-6 winner over Midlakes-Red Jacket. Irondequoit defeated Pittsford by a score of 7-6. Hilton and Thomas played a close game until the last quarter when the Cadets took off. CA was a 10-6 winner over Penfield and Marcus Whitman was a 10-7 winner over Gananda.

Hilton at ThomasHILTON-7 at THOMAS-4 - In a game that was close until the final quarter, The Cadets scored two goals at the end of the third quarter in the last minute and a half to take a 5-4 lead after three quarters. Hilton, who lifted their record to 3-5 had just defeated Pittsford 9-8 on Tuesday. RUSH-HENRIETTA-15 at CHURCHVILLE-CHILI-9 - Freshman midfielder Dillon Gue scored his first Varsity goal for Rush-Henrietta while Andrew Coleman (3g-3a), Koppers Jackson (2g-3a), and Cody Coleman (2g-2a) led the offensive book. Rush-Henrietta faceoff specialist Preston Jackson won 21+/0- = 100%. Churchville-Chili saw scoring from Cameron Gefell (3g-2a), Brayden Hoak (3g-1a), and Colin Duncan (3g). Hilton at ThomasGANANDA-7 at MARCUS WHITMAN-10 - After three ties, the Wildcats took the led and held on to it for the win. Marcus Whitman saw offense from Sophomore attackman Ayden Clark (4g-1a), Junior midfielder Logan Storms (3g) and Tariku Blueye (2g-5a) who reached his 50th career goal. Tyler Speers recorded 8s/7ga = 53% (48 mins) in the goal. Leading the scoring for Gananda were Brayden Dohse (2g-1a), Jacob Michaels (2g-1a), Jase Smith (2g), Mason Groh (1g), and 7th grade midfielder Brody Daciw (1a). MIDLAKES-RED JACKET-6 at NEWARK-7 - This game came right down to the last quarter as the teams tied 2-2 in the first, 3-3, in the second and 6-6 in the third. Scoring for Newark were Sam Underhill (2g-2a), Devon Bulman (2g), John Camblin (1g), Lucas Herd(1g) and Luke Taylor (1g) who scored his first Varsity goal for the Reds. Newark goalie Thomas Kirnie had 19s/6ga = 76% (48 mins). Scoring for Midlakes-Red Jacket were Nate Lathrop (2g-1a), Theodore Altman (2g-1a), Stuart Quku (2g), and James Sprague (2a). FAIRPORT-11 at SPENCERPORT-6 - The Red Raiders steadily outscored the Rangers throughout the game. Scoring for Fairport (6-3) were Mitchell Monte (4g-5a), Michael Priddy (3g), Sam Pucci (2g-1a), and Liam Moreland (1g). Faceoff specialist Corey Roeser won 12+/5- = 71% and in the goal for Fairport, Luke Ryan recorded 6s/3ga = 67% (42 mins). Canandaigua (6-4) saw points from Alex Rheude (2g-1a), Will Rheude (2g), Mike Belles (1g-1a), Braden Gioseffi (2g), and Damon Swanson (1g) who scored his first Varsity goal for Canandaigua. Facing off was junior Mason DePew with 16+/3- = 84%. Leading the scoring for Penfield (6-4) were Ethan Aust (3g), Brodie Joyce (1g-1a), Zach Shores (2g), and Drew Taddeo (2a). LIVONIA-AVON-18 at BATAVIA-NOTRE DAME-0 - Nine different players scored goals for Livonia-Avon including Henry Walters (4g-1a), Nikolai Hanna (2g-2a), and 8th grade offensiveman Brayden Arber (3g). Junior faceoff specialist Joey Cinquino won 10+/0- = 100%, and freshman Rider VanZandt won 10+/2- = 83%. In the goal for Livonia-Avon was sophomore Ayden Szymanski with 3s/0ga = 100% (48 mins). Hilton at ThomasIRONDEQUOIT-7 at PITTSFORD-6 - The was an exciting and close game. Irondequoit led 3-2 at the half and then led 5-3 after three quarters. The Panthers scored three goals in the final stanza, but it was not enough as Irondequoit sophomore midfielder Dylan Carey scored his two goals, which made the difference. Irondequoit extended their winning streak to five wins and are now 8-2. Cooper Moore (3g), Jonah Carrier (1g-1a), Dylan Carey (2g), Oliver Grisdale (1g-1a), and Colin Giudice (1a) made the offensive book for the Eagles. Jonah Carrier won 13+/4- = 76% at the faceoff "X" and Sven Habitzreuther recorded 7s/6ga = 54% (40 mins).
