April 16, 2024 - DAY IN REVIEW: TUESDAY - There were 11 games played today and 5 were close ones. Spencerport was a 10-9 winner over HFL. Fairport defeated Greece Storm by a score of 5-4. Victor defeated Thomas by a score of 8-6. Livonia-Avon defeated Midlakes-Red Jacket by a score of 8-6.
BLOOMFIELD-HONEOYE-7 at MYNDERSE-13 - Both Junior attackman Griffin Hilimire (4g-3a) and Senior midfielder Dylan Tandle reached their 50th career goal in the game that also saw offensive numbers from Jack Brady (4g-1a), and Phillip Love (2g-1a). Leading the scoring for Bloomfield-Honeoye (2-2) were John Blair (3g-2a), Liam Roach (3g-1a), and Tyler Bruder (2g). Facing specialist Cody Whittaker had just over half the draws (13+/12- = 52%) and in the goal junior Ethan Stoddard recorded 14s/13ga = 52% (48 mins). FAIRPORT-5 at GREECE STORM-4 - There must have been some great defense in this game as neither team scored in the first quarter and both teams score one in the second. Although the Red Raiders fell behind in the third quarter, their four fourth quarter goals gave them the win. Scoring for Fairport (4-2) were Mitch Monte (3g-1a), Michael Priddy (1g), Ryan Priddy (1a), and Ryan Pedro (1g). Luke Ryan recorded 7s/4ga = 64% (48 mins). LIVONIA-AVON-8 at MIDLAKES-RED JACKET-6 - In another close game, Midlakes-Red Jacket took a 3-2 lead at the halftime break and both teams scored three in the third. The Lakers won on three unanswered goal in the fourth quarter. Livonia-Avon Junior goaltended Colton Rose was a key to the win with 11s/6ga = 65% (48 mins). CANANDAIGUA-12 at ORCHARD PARK-8 - This is the 5th win in a row for Canandaigua against Orchard Park going back to 04/20/2017. The Gray Wolves led 4-0 in the first quarter and 7-2 at the half. Leading the scoring for Canandaigua (5-2) were Mike Belles (3g-3a), Sean Olvany (1g-4a), and Drew Williamee (3g). Faceoff specialist Mason DePew recorded 11+/3- = 79%.
