Schroeder, Marcus Whitman and HFL Get Wins

April 4, 2024 - DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were six games played today and most were mismatches. The winners were HFL, Marcus Whitman, Schroeder. Victor lost to Rye, Thomas lost to BVille and Penfield lost a close one to West Islip.

SCHROEDER-15 at WAYNE-7 - Senior attackman Nate Schilling (4g-3a) reached his 50th career assist and others leading the offensive effort included Senior midfielder Anthony DeRosa (5g-4a), and Junior midfielder Parker Brown (2g-1a). In the goal for Schroeder was Senior Casey Berns with 10s/7ga = 59% (48 mins).  Leading the scoring for Wayne were Junior Tas Strickland (1g-1a), Junior Avery Bustamante (1g-1a), and Mason Michel (2g). MARCUS WHITMAN-16 at HAVERLING-6 - Sophomore midfielder Tariku Blueye scored eight goals and Melkamu Blueye added (2g-2a) to lead the Wildcats (1-2). Facing off for Marcus Whitman was sophomore Cullen Kephart with 8+/1- = 89%, and senior Reiner Gallogly with 12+/5- = 71%. Scoring for Haverling were Junior midfielder Maclain Wright (1g-2a), Sophomore midfielder Drew Spears (3g), Junior offensiveman Gavin Price (1g-2a), Sophomore attackman Zach Colegrove (1g), and Junior attackman Jacob Ingram (0g-1a). Facing off for Haverling was sophomore Drew Spears with 5+/4- = 56%. In the goal sophomore goalie McLane Stermole recorded 17s/16ga = 52% (48 mins).     [ BOX SCORE] 

THOMAS-6 at BALDWINSVILLE-16 - Leading the scoring for Thomas (1-2) were Junior midfielder Jake Polizzi (3g-1a), 8th grade offensiveman Jonah Jobson (1g-1a), and Senior midfielder Jagger Altieri (1g). Thomas will host Penfield next Thursday.   [ BOX SCORE] 

HFL-19 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-10 - Leading the scoring for HFL (2-0) were Senior attackman Chase Perryman (4g-3a), Freshman attackman Grady Goodberlet (6g), Senior face off midfielder Drew Angelo (4g-2a), and Junior offensiveman Quinn Kailbourne (3g-2a). Angelo won 18+/7- = 72% at the faceoff "X". Leading the scoring for Rush-Henrietta were Sophomore midfielder Ronin Walker (3g-3a), Junior attackman Koppers Jackson (2g-2a), and Sophomore attackman Andrew Coleman (3g).
