Saturday: Victor over JD

April 22, 2023 - DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Victor has a statement game with their 16-11 win over visiting JD. Irondequoit defeated Hilton, and McQuaid beat Brighton.

JD-11 at VICTOR-16 - The Blue Devils looked like it was post-season against a quality team from Section III. Multiple passes before goals and many interior feeds were the order of the day as Victor came back from a 2-3 first quarter with five goals in the second to take a 7-4 lead at the half. Both teams played hard throughout the game and after a 3-3 tie in the second quarter the Blue Devils never lost the lead. Helping control ball-time was face off specialist Sam Ricci who had ten ground balls along with winning 22 or 29 (76%) faceoffs.
