Thursday - Thomas and C-C Win in OT

- DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were some great match ups today and some exciting scores. B-H beat Gananda 9-7, Thomas beat Fairport 10-9, Victor beast CA 7-2, Waterloo won their game with Mynderse 6-4, Penfield dodged a pesky Hilton 10-9, C-C had a 10-9 win over HF-L, R-H was a 13-11 winner over Schroeder and Gates Chili won their game with East United-Eastridge 7-5.

Penn Yan at NewarkMARCUS WHITMAN 3 - PENN YAN 12 - The Mustangs scored six unanswered goals in the first quarter. Franks Ochoa had 4g-1a and Teagan Fingar had 2g-3a. MIDLAKES-RED JACKET 1 - PAL-MAC 20 - A dozen players made the boo for Pal-Mac. Keagen Hoesterey had 2g-6a and Mike Halsey added 3g-4a while Nolan Quinn won all 17 of his faceoffs. There was no report from the Eagles at post time.   [BOX SCORE] 

FAIRPORT 9 - THOMAS 10 -  David Petz (2g-1a) scored the winning goal with 0:21 left in overtime as the Titans beat visiting Fairport. Evan Pashalidis had 2g-2a, Jack Burns had 2g-1a and goalie Owen Dalbeth had 13s (59%)  for Thomas (7-4). Jackson Monte and Chase Rizzo each scored 3g-1a for the Red Raiders.    [BOX SCORE] 

Penn Yan at NewarkEAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE 5 - GATES CHILI 7 - Two goals in the last quarter gave the Spartans the win. Jake Rogers had 3g and Blake Fennell had 2g-1a while Nathan Weise made 6s (55%) for Gates Chili. There was no report from the Eagle at post time..    [BOX SCORE] 

SPENCERPORT 17 - GREECE STORM X - Ten different players made the book for the Rangers. Austin Mandarano had 3g-3a, Cameron Mesh won 10 of 12 faceoffs and Taylor Kaye recorded 6s (67%) for Spencerport. Aiden Early (2g) and Steven Laframboise (1g-1a) scored for the Storm.    [BOX SCORE] 

MYNDERSE 4 - WATERLOO 6 - Mynderse led 4-2 at the half, but Waterloo came out with four unanswered goals in the second half for the win. Peter Shangraw had 4g and Jordan Kraft had 2g1a and goalie Raymond Jones had 13s (76%) for Waterloo. Lucas Stevers had 2g-1a and Mason Buckly had 1g-2a for Mynderse.    [BOX SCORE] 

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI 10 - HF-L 9 - In what was probably one of the most exciting games of the day, the teams had four ties including one on a goal by Churchville-Chili senior defenseman Liam Podszebka that sent the game into overtime. Sophomore attackman Colin Duncan scored the game winner on a feed from Jaxon Leanord (3g-1). Chase Perryman led the Cougars with 5g-3a and Drew Angelo won 14 of 20 draws.    [BOX SCORE] 

Penn Yan at NewarkGENEVA 9 - AQUINAS 15 - A nine goal first half was too much for the Panthers aw Aquinas took the win. Three players for AQ had six points: Tano Auriuso (3g-3a), Myles Blackwood (2g-4a) and Angelo Palumbo (4g-2a). Curtis Denison had 3g for Geneva.    [BOX SCORE] 

BRIGHTON 2 - PITTSFORD 14 - Pittsford did not have trouble with Brighton as they took a 9-1 halftime lead. Tampa bound senior attackman James Cook led the Panther scoring with 6g and Avery Valenti added 3g. Liam McGuire and Aksel Stanat each scored 1g for the Bruins. Pittsford (9-3) is on a six game winning streak and will play Hamburg on Saturday.   [BOX SCORE] 

VICTOR 7 - CANANDAIGUA 2 - Victor scored the first four goals and never lost the lead in their game with CA. Sam Gotham had 3g for the Blue Devils and five others made the book. Sam Ricci won 12 of his 13 draws and Brady Robinson made 11s (85%) for the Blue Devils (12-0) who will play Penfield on Saturday. SCHROEDER 11 - RUSH-HENRIETTA 13 - A seven goal second quarter and a good day from faceoff specialist Mike Valent made the difference for the Royal Comets. Valent won 18 of 24 draws. Eight players scored points for R-H with Chase Petschke posting 2g-4a to lead the scoring. Brady Ruffalo turned in 5g-1a for the Warriors who will play McQuaid Jesuit on Saturday.    [BOX SCORE] 

Penn Yan at NewarkPENFIELD 10 - HILTON 9 - After two early ties the Patriots too the lead and did not give it up, despite three unanswered goals at the end of the game ending one goal short with 0:40 left in regulation. Seven players scored for Penfield, and none had more than three points. Sean Smith scored 3g and Alec Constable and Elijah Utz both had 2g-1a and Seamus Hand made 15s (63%) for the Patriots (7-5). Joseph Maneti led the scoring for the Cadets with 4g. Michael Mitrano won 10 of twelve faceoffs and Jason Mosher had 13s (57%) for Hilton.    [BOX SCORE] 

LIVONIA-AVON 14 - HAVERLING 9 - Roberts Wesleyan bound senior Justin Skelly (4-1) scored his 100th career goal with 0:47 seconds left in the first quarter. Although the teams were tied 6-6 at the break, the Lakers scored four goals in the third and four more in the last quarter for the win. Six player made the book for the Lakers including Jackson McEnerney (2g-3a) and Christian Rufola (3g-1a). Matt Beachel recorded 9s (56%). The Irondequoit Brockport game was declared a forfeit as the Blue Devils did not have enough players to play and the game could not be rescheduled.
