Canandaigua Takes Fairport 15-6

- Friday: DAY IN REVIEW: There were nine games played today and, as usual, more mismatches, but Pittsford had a 6-5 win from Brighton.

C-C at BataviaPittsford scored the last three goals in the game to beat Brighton with a goal by James Cook with 2:44 left in regulation. Pittsford led 2-0 after the first quarter but the Bruins came back with four unanswered goals in the second to take a 4-2 halftime lead. Pittsford scored the only goal in the third and then after a Brighton goal by Sam Tourangeau, Pittsford responded with three goals in a little over three minutes. Tourangeau had 2g and Liam McGuire had 1g-2a and freshman goalie Thomas D`Angelo made 9s/6ga(60%) for the Bruins (4-5). The was no report from Pittsford at post time. [BOX SCORE]

It was a runaway for Churchville-Chili as they defeated their hosts 23-2 tonight. Ten player made the scoresheet for the Saints (4-4). Brett Seaman topped the list with 3g-8a and freshman Colin Duncan added 4g-2a for Churchville-Chili. Noah Burke and Troy Helsdon each scored once for the Blue Devils. C-C at BataviaCanandaigua held the Red Raiders scoreless in the second and third quarters while adding their ten unanswered goals and cruised to a 15-6 win before the hometown fans. The first quarter ended in a 3-3 tie before the Braves took over. A dozen players made the offensive book for Canandaigua. Leading the list were Jaxon Grant 4g, Spin Blazak 3g and Dom Comella 2g-1a. Kole Stuver scored 2g and Billy Meagher has 1g-1a for Fairport (4-4). Canandaigua remains undefeated at 9-0. [BOX SCORE]

Victor held The Patriots scoreless for the first three quarters before winning 9-3 at Penfield. Three different players from Victor scored 2g and sophomore M/A tallied 2g-1a and Zach Pavia recorded 8s/3ga (73%) in the cage for the Blue Devils. The big matchup at faceoff between Penfield`s John Richiusa and Victor`s Logan Callahan seamed to be very close (both teams report their player won 8/15). McQuaid Jesuit took an 8-4 halftime lead and finished with a 14-6 win at Honeoye Falls-Lima this afternoon. Matt Blythe scored 2g-1a and Chase Perryman had 1g-2a for The Cougars (7-4). There was no report from McQuaid at post time. [BOX SCORE]

In a game that was a lot closer than it sounds, Rush-Henrietta scored seven unanswered fourth quarter goals to defeat Brockport 15-6 tonight. The Blue Devils kept the game close in the first three quarters. Chase Petschke had 3g-4a, Tommy LaRocca had 3g-1a and Killian Ceci had 4g for the Royal Comets (5-4). Faceoff middie Mike Valent won 15/21 draws for R-H. Cole Beardsley scored 3g and Chris Parker added 2g-1a while Antonio DiEngeniis made 16s/14ga (53%) including several spectacular one-on-ones for Brockport.
