
Geneva over Greece, Thomas Takes Pittsford
May 17, 2018 - Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: With only a few games left in the regular season eight games were played today. Canandaigua (9-7) had eight players on the offensive book as they defeated Pal-Mac (10-6). Mark Belles had 2g-2a for the Braves. Geneva (10-6) was a 12-5 victor over visiting Greece Dugan Doeblin scored five goals and senior goalie Jacob Drennen finished with 11 saves (73%) for the Panthers. After a close half which saw Thomas (14-2) ahead 4-3, the Titans took control in their 11-5 victory over Pittsford (8-8).
Irondequoit led 6-5 at the half and was tied at 7-7 entering the last quarter, but fell to Ithaca 11-10. Jack Brennan had 2g-3a and Kessel Stefano added 4g for the Eagles who finished their regular season at 10-6.
Although Gananda(12-3) started off scoring in the game, after a tie at 2-2, Churchville-Chili (5-11) finished their regular season with a great deal of excitement and a 14-8 win. Jacob Buck scored 5 goals to lead the Saints in scoring. Ryan Terhaar tied Churchville-Chili's school record for most takes in a season with 25.
Also winning games today were Midlakes who finish at 11-5, Newark who finishes at 8-8, Wayne (10-6) who defeated Aquinas who finished at 9-7 and Livonia-Avon who defeated Waterloo.
