Saturday: Pittsford, Victor, Pal-Mac Win

- DAY IN REVIEW: Three out of four of the Section Five teams will play on Wednesday in the NYS semi-finals after victories today at St. John Fisher College.

Section Five representative Pittsford defeated Section Six representative Orchard Park 20-6 in the Western Regional Championship. The Panthers scored the first seven goals of the match and held the Quakers scoreless for the first 18:49. Pittsford finished with 13 different players making their offensive book. Victor CaptainsSection Five representative Victor defeated Section Six representative Hamburg 7-4 in the Western Regional Championship. The Blue Devils were led in scoring by Joey Pezzimenti with 3g-1a. Sam Lambert added another 3a. Each of the four Hamburg goals were scored by a different player . STORY CONTINUES.

Palmyra-Macedon defeated Grand Island 8-6 in the Western Regional Championship this afternoon. At the same time, Pal-Mac girls defeated East Aurora 17-0 to become the Girls Western Regional Champions (HERE). The Red Raiders trailed for a significant portion of the game before mounting a four goal comeback in the final quarter. Pal-Mac held the Vikings scoreless for the final 13 minutes. James Blazey led the Red Raiders in scoring with 2g-1a . STORY CONTINUES.

Section Six representative Akron defeated Section Five representative Penn Yan 10-9 in the Western Regional Championship. The game was tied after regulation and the Tigers scored the game winning goal in the second overtime period. Akron was the only Section Six team to defeat a Section Five team in either Girls or Boys Western Regionals . STORY CONTINUES.
