Marcus Whitman Takes Win Over Waterloo

- Marcus Whitman secured a 12-5 victory against Waterloo in their FL-D1 league matchup on May 3, 2025. The home team jumped out early, scoring four goals in the first quarter and adding four more in the second, led by Ayden Clark with five goals and Logan Storms contributing a goal and two assists. CJ McNamara added two goals, while Tariku Blueye and Fischer Sleeman each had multiple contributions. Waterloo, who trailed 8-0 at the halftime break, came out with lots of energy despite the big deficit. Freshman attackman Jaidyn Ellison, who scored his first Varsity goal for the Tigers, got things rolling as the team responded in the second half with three goals in the third quarter and two in the fourth.

Junior offensiveman Tariku Blueye reached the milestone of 100 career goals with two in this game. Sophomore midfielder Blake Strait also had a standout moment, scoring his first varsity goal. Goalie Tyler Speers played the full 48 minutes, stopping four shots while allowing five goals. Senior midfielder Logan Storms led the faceoff battle for Marcus Whitman, winning three and losing two for a 60% success rate.
