- NOTES: Aquinas and HF-L were neck and neck for three quarters before the Little Irish scored the final five goals to defeat the Cougars 13-8. The contest was tied 2-2, 4-4 and 8-8 before Aquinas scored five unanswered goals spanning the final 10:24 of the contest, including three goals in man-up play. The game had a total of 15 penalties (13 minutes). Defenseman Caleb Cooley led HFL with five ground balls and midfielder Terrance Richards led Aquinas with 14 ground balls.

Greece Storm Over Wayne in Non-League Battle

- The Greece Storm narrowly defeated Wayne 5-4 in a closely contested non-league lacrosse game at Arcadia on Saturday morning. Greece Storm, improving to 2-2, used a strong second quarter to secure the win, outscoring Wayne 3-0 during that period. Junior Jackson Pioli and senior James Maccallini led the offense for Greece Storm, each recording two goals, with Maccallini adding two assists. Junior Carter Fabian contributed with a goal and an assist, while junior Mitchell Barnes was pivotal in goal with 12 saves on 16 shots for a 75% save rate. Junior Eric Odell excelled in faceoffs, winning 12 of 13 attempts.

For Wayne, who fell to 0-3 on the season, senior Tas Strickland and junior Mason Michel each scored two goals. Strickland also added an assist, while junior Emmett Haak provided two assists. Senior goalie Logan Phillips made 10 saves on 15 shots, finishing with a 67% save percentage. Wayne rallied with three goals in the second half, but their comeback effort fell just short in the final minutes.

The Greece Storm now looks ahead to a matchup at Hilton on Monday evening, while Wayne will host Midlakes on Thursday afternoon as they search for their first win of the season.     [ Story and BOX SCORE
