Schroeder Defeats Canandaigua for First Time Since 2003 2018-03-29 - Schroeder scored the final four goals of the game to defeat Canandaigua 8-5. The Warriors led for the majority of the game after a strong start and finish. The Braves stayed in the game late into the third quarter; however, the Warriors held them scoreless in the final 17 minutes to secure the win. This is first time that Schroeder has defeated Canandaigua since 2003.
Schroeder scored the opening two goals with Hunter Olsen and Brandon Marquez scoring unassisted goals in the first quarter. Canandaigua scored the next two to tie the game for the first of three times and 2-2. Canandaigua scored their first goal 13:08 into the contest with Jack Johnson scoring unassisted. Will York scored all four of the remaining goals for the Braves with assists from Cam Tallman and Mark Belles (3).
Schroeder’s scoring was more spread out with Marquez, Connor Ball, Jonathan Kay and Mareck Christman each scoring one and AJ Fiorio (2g-1a) and Olsen (2g) adding two each.
