Semi: Pittsford to Meet Victor in Finals 2016-05-27 - After trailing 1-0, Pittsford scored four straight goals to take the lead for good. The Panthers kept up their scoring and, even though the Patriots scored late to make the score closer, they defeated Penfield 12-9. The Patriots scored the final four goals to decrease the deficit to only three goals. Pittsford`s largest lead was 12-5 at the end of the third quarters.
Pittsford spread out their scoring with only Jonathan Perotto (4g-2a) and Colby Barker (2g) finishing with over 1 point. Six other Panthers scored a single goal. Penfield also spread out their scoring with seven Patriots making their offensive scorebook. Leading the charge was Peter Schwab with 3g-2a. The third was a straight dodge at the goal for Perotto. The final goal of the first quarter was scored by Brennan Mooney on an outside shot. Pittsford led 4-1 after 12 minutes.
The second and third quarter had Pittsford pulling away. The Patriots added four goals (three in the second and one in the third). Pittsford scored eight goals in the same time frame. Pittsford led 12-5 going into the final quarter. The Panthers were held scoreless in the fourth off only 3 shots. Penfield scored four goals with Schwab scoring three all on outside shots.
