The Thunder scored the final goal with only 0:10 left in regulation. Sophomore midfielder Zack Gibaud scored his fourth goal of the game for the win. Over the past ten years, this is only the third time that Greece has defeated Gates Chili who have won twelve.

The game had seven lead changes and the score was tied eight times. Gibaud was the leading scorer for Greece with 4g-2a. Joey Fornataro finished with 4g-1a and Dylan Wiemer finished with 2g-1a. Greece used three different man-up opportunities to score including two late in the game to take their final lead. Jason Harter played the entire game in the cage and finished with nine saves.
