Fairport vs Thomas

In a game that was close throughout, Fairport held off the late advances from Webster Thomas to win 8-6. The Red Raider scored half their points in a four goal unanswered set from the first and second quarters. Thomas slowly tried to win back points in the second half, but never was able to tie the game after 1-1. Both teams finished with twenty-nine shots (17 on for Thomas and 16 on for Fairport). Senior goalie Joey Scalise stepped up big in the game and finished at 65%. He was the one of only two goalies to finish over 50% today and had the highest percentage of the day (excluding Jamie Cullen at Churchville-Chili who played two minutes with one save). In addition to Scalise, Fairport's close defense stepped up as well. Sam Dovan, Jake DeLorme and Allen Thibodeau all had big defensive games for the Red Raiders.Fairport vs Thomas
