Pittsford at Victor

Victor scored five unanswered goals to take control of the game and defeat previously undefeated Pittsford 9-6. The Blue Devils and the Panthers have faced 10 times in the last 15 years with Pittsford leading the series 7-3. Victor has won the last two contests including last year's 10-9 win over the Panthers. With Victor moving from Class B to Class A this season, it seems likely that this will not be last time that these two powerhouse teams face.

Pittsford took an early lead. They ended the first quarter 3-1 and the half at 4-2. The Panthers had scoring from Connor Fitzgerald (2), Matt Malone and Jeremy Jacob. The lone Victor goal was scored by Mike DeMarco. The third quarter, as well as the entire second half, belonged to the Blue Devils. They scored the first four goals of the second half to lead 6-4. Pittsford got one goal in the third quarter before Victor added another three to take complete control of the game (9-5 with 7:37 left in the fourth). Pittsford scored the final goal with less than a minute on the clock.
