Lakers Earn Road Win

- Livonia-Avon-Geneseo secured a strong victory over Newark, finishing with a 17-3 result in Tuesday’s FL-D1 league matchup. Henry Walters led the way for Livonia-Avon-Geneseo with five goals and one assist, while Will Schweitzer contributed three goals and three assists. Other goal scorers included Joey Cinquino and Max McEnerney with three goals each, along with Connor Duryea, Nikolai Hanna, and Rider VanZandt adding to the tally. In goal, senior Colton Rose posted 12 saves and allowed three goals, finishing with an 80% save rate.

Newark’s scoring came exclusively from Sam Underhill, who netted three goals across four quarters. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo steadily built its lead throughout the match, with a dominant third quarter in which they scored eight goals. Freshman Duryea also marked a milestone, scoring his first career varsity goal.
