Pittsford Secures 9-6 Win over Schroeder
2019-04-02 - Pittsford scored the opening goal and although Schroeder kept it close, they never forced a tie in the Panthers 9-6 win over the Warriors. Pittsford took the game to a 4 goal lead twice, including once in the fourth quarter (9-5); however, Schroeder also brought the score within 2 twice, including once in the third quarter (7-5). Pittsford face-off midfielder Danny Maggio finished 10/18 with a team leading six ground balls. Defenseman Patrick Sanna also recorded six groundballs. Attackman Sonny Imburgia finished with 3 recorded takes for the Panthers. For Schroeder, Travis Dear led with 5 groundballs. In the cage, Evan Alfano recorded 13 saves.

Irondequoit Defeats Thomas for First Time Since 2012
2019-04-02 - For the first time since April of 2012, Irondequoit defeated Webster Thomas. The Eagles took over in the second half and outscored Thomas 7-3 in the second half during their 11-8 win over the Titans. The Eagles scored five of the last seven goals to move from a tied 6-6 game. Conversely, the Titans had a strong opener with four of the first five goals scored by Thomas. Each of the game was scored by a different athlete (Stevie Katz, Evan Pashalidis, Reed Currie, Nick Vasile). Leading in scoring for Irondequoit was Jack Brennan with 1g-5a. For Thomas, three different players recorded 2 points.
