Waterloo Wins Season Opener

- Waterloo opened their season with an 8-3 win over East United.  The Indians scored the opening two goals and led for the remainder of the game.  The first goal of the season was an unassisted goal from senior midfielder Toby Loucks.  Loucks finished last season with 28 goals and the second highest goal total of the Indian's roster.  He finished today with 3g-1a.  Dylan DeLucia also finished with 4 points (2g-2a).  Defensively, junior Joel Kraft had a stand out game and helped hold the Eagles to only three points.

Mynderse defeats Eastridge 14-3

- Mynderse improves to 2-0 on the young season with another decisive victory over Eastridge 14-3. After a slow start, tied at the end of the first quarter, Mynderse went on to score 11 unanswered goals over the next two and a half quarters. Leading the charge for the Devils was senior attackman Owen Lorenzetti (5g-3a).  Colby Reese (2g-4a) and Ethan Spinner (1g-3a) also added to the high point total in this high scoring game.  For Eastridge, junior Zachary Hiscock led with 1g-1a.

The Devil’s defense delivered another strong performance, only allowing 5 shots on goal the entire game. Senior long sticks Sal Franzone and Max McDermott led the way along with Junior Cole Dickson, sophomore Griffin Pundt and short stick defensive midfielder Matt Reardon. Gino Poretta (2s) played between the pipes for the entire game.  Mynderse is back at it tomorrow at home with a game against Watkins Glen and Eastridge is playing Newark on Thursday.
