CA with One Goal WIn Over Pittsford

-  SPORTSFIVE REPORT:  The Braves came back big and scored five of the last seven goals to defeat visiting Pittsford 7-6. The Panthers led 4-2 early in the second quarter before the Braves began fighting back. Canandaigua scored four unanswered goals spanning the second and third quarters. They held Pittsford scoreless from 2:25 remaining in the second quarter until 1:34 remaining in the final quarter (25:51 total). The Braves were led in scoring by Brian Feldman (3g) and Eric Munn (2g-1a).

Canandaigua scored the first two goals of the game with Munn and Feldman both scoring (unassisted). Pittsford followed with three goals of their own to finish the opening quarter. Stephen Quinzi scored the first and assisted the second and third. James Felix and Jonathan Perotto scored the goals for the Panthers to give them a 3-2 lead after the first quarter. Pittsford's Jake Leve scored the opening goal of the second quarter to give Pittsford a two goal lead. Feldman scored his second goal to keep the game within one. Less than one minute later Owen Smith put the game back to a two goal Pittsford lead. Smith`s goal was the last before Pittsford`s dry spell. Canandaigua added one more in the second quarter to keep the game within one (5-4) going into halftime.

In the third quarter, Canandaigua added three goals and kept the Panther`s scoreless. Mitchell Schaefer, Ben Smith-Wilcox and Feldman scored for the Braves. Pittsford scored the only goal of the fourth quarter with Ryan Fairbrother scoring unassisted with 1:34 remaining in the regulation. In the cage for Pittsford, Kevin Maguire finished with 4 saves. Fairbrother, a midfielder, finished with four ground balls to lead the Panthers. For the Braves, Ethan Lincoln finished at 65% with 11 recorded saves.
