2014 Tournament Brackets Show Fairport, Victor and Penn Yan

- The 2014 tournament brackets have been released. In Class A Fairport takes the top seed. In Class B, Victor takes the top spot and in Class C, it is Penn Yan.

Class A In Class A the top two groupings were closely ranked. Fairport earned top honors with 120 points with 10 points for beating Canandaigua, Penn Yan, Pittsford, Churchville-Chili and Victor. Pittsford, who held the top post for most of the season lost three of their last four games, but was still only four points behind the leader (116) with 10 points wins with out of Sections victories against St. Joe`s, Duxbury, Corning, Orchard Park and Victor. Penfield came in third with 108 points and Thomas took the fourth spot with 104.

In Class B the first seed was Victor with 111 points, but there was only seven points separating first from third. Victor (13-3) picked up 10 points wins against Canandaigua, Wayne, Penfield and Corning, while Canandaigua, in the second seed with 108, had 10 point wins against Hamburg, Penfield and Pittsford. In third place, Churchville-Chili earned 104 points with only one 10 point win (Canandaigua), but with seven 8 point wins including one win against Thomas.

In Class C it was a race to the finish, but Penn Yan, who had to cancel a their last game, top top honors once again 103 points (15 games). Pal-Mac came in second with 108 in sixteen games. As the seedings are based on the average over games played, Penn Yan was first with 6.8667 while Pal-Mac finished with 6.750. The Mustangs record of 12-3 was offset by the quality of their opponents. They picked up 10 point wins against Canandaigua, Clarence and Hamburg. Pal-Mac earned three 10 points games (Wayne twice and Gananda). Gananda was placed third in the Class C bracket with 96 points. They had one 10 point win against Pal-Mac and added four 8 point wins, mostly against league opponents.

Out bracket will start on Monday.In Class A, Gates (#8) will host Lightning (#9) and Schroeder (#7) will host Thunder (#10). In Class B, McQuaid Jesuit (8) will host Brighton (#9), Spencerport (#5) will host Batavia-Attica (#12), Irondequoit (#7) will host Eastridge (#10) and HF-L (#6) will host Brockport (#11). In Class C, Livonia (#8) will host Midlakes (#9), Geneva (#5) will host Mynderse (#12), Marcus Whitman (#7) will host Haverling (#10) and Waterloo (#6_ will host Newark (#11).
