Newark F/O Middie, Dylan Harmon Signs for Belmont Abbey

November 25, 2015 - Newark Head Coach Matt Groot recently announced that senior face-off midfielder Dylan Harmon has accepted an athletic scholarship and will play for the Belmont Abbey Crusaders after graduation next spring.

An face off midfielder who plays both offense and defense, Dylan won seventy-two percent of his draws last year while adding 10g and an assist for the Reds.

During the off season he has played for the Blaze Lacrosse Club.

A three sport athlete, Dylan was the football captain this fall and was a Section V wrestling champion last winter.

Coach Groot is proud of him, noting, "Dylan earned this scholarship through his hard work and dedication in and out of the classroom. He has the highest level of character and will be successful at the next level.

Belmont Abbey is an NCAA Division II team in North Carolina playing in the Carolinas Conference. They finished last season at 11-5 under Head Coach Chris Barrett.
